Pictured below is the bottom of the Easyboot Trail Original. You may be wondering, “Can I put studs into the Versa Grip since there is steel inside the shoe?” The answer is yes! There is enough material surrounding the steel inside the Versa Grip that Quick Studs can be completely inserted without coming into contact with the steel. However, you can apply the studs wherever you like, and add as many as you need for more traction. Quick Studs should not come into contact with any part of the horse’s foot.īelow is a common pattern to use when applying Quick Studs to a boot/shoe. When you’re applying the Quick Studs to the bottom of the boot on the raised areas of the tread, the stud should not come through the sole of the boot. This will keep the Quick Studs firmly in place and allow them create a good amount of traction on not only snow and ice, but also on wet rocks and grass. The Quick Studs have two notches in them so they seat into the notches on the Application Tool.Īpply firm downward pressure onto the boot or shoe, and screw the Quick Stud in until the head comes into contact with the boot or shoe.
Insert the Quick Stud Application Tool into your drill. You’ll need a few tools, including any style of drill, a Quick Stud Application Tool, and Quick Studs. The studs can be applied to any of our boots and shoes, but these are the styles pictured below.
